A spectacular musical extravaganza is taking place to raise money for The Toma Fund. The charity gives financial assistance to families, from the North East and Cumbria, who have a child with cancer. For further information regarding The Toma Fund please visit www.tomafund.org.
Toma Eurovision Reunited will take place at The Sage in Gateshead on Wednesday, 11th April 2012. Past Eurovision stars already confirmed include Lys Assia (winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 1956), Brotherhood of Man (winners of the Eurovision Song Contest 1976), Anne Marie David (winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 1973), Bobbysocks (winners of the Eurovision Song Contest 1985), Black Lace (UK entry 1979), Daz Sampson (UK entry in Eurovision 2006), Josh Dubovie (UK entry in Eurovision 2010), Scott Fitzgerald (UK entry in Eurovision 1988), Nicki French (UK entry 2000) and Eldar and Nikki (last years winners from Azerbaijan). Addition acts still to be confirmed. There will be around twenty performers in all.
The finale of the show will be lead by Swede Dreamz, one of the UK's leading and most authenic ABBA tribute band. The band will lead in a rendition of ABBA’s ‘Waterloo’ (Eurovision Song Contest winning song from 1974) with all of the performers. What a way to end the evening!
