It’s been a hectic but great year for Swede Dreamz with sell-out gigs up and down the country.  We now look forward to a string of Christmas Party Nights including four sell-out shows at the Bothwell Bridge Hotel, Bothwell, near Glasgow (400 people each evening), New Year’s Eve at the Great Barr Hotel in Birmingham (our eighth show here this year and fast becoming our second home) plus a visit to south Wales in early January 2010.  Visit the gig guide page for full details of forthcoming gigs throughout the festive season and beyond.

Next year looks just as promising gig-wise with a number of bookings already confirmed.  The Great Barr Hotel in Birmingham and the Red Lion Hotel in Atherston, Warwickshire have both confirmed ABBA tribute cabaret dates throughout the year as has the Tackeroo (music venue) in Staffordshire, Stanwix Park Holiday Centre in Cumbria and several holiday parks in Lancashire.  Swede Dreamz will be appearing at Wick Gala again in July 2010 following a fantastic 2009 gig.  We hope the 720 miles round trip will be just as successful as 2009 and look forward to seeing everyone again.

We’re constantly working on keeping our shows fresh - keep watching for some great new replica ABBA costumes and several new tracks in the New Year.

We have met some great people whilst gigging around the UK and we’ve visited some interesting places on our travels including John O’Groats, Cheddar Gorge in Somerset and medieval Warwick Castle.

Swede Dreamz are featured in the December 2009 issue of ‘Carlisle Living’ magazine.  There are some great new photographs (thanks to Phil Rigby) and a light-hearted article covering five pages!  Fingers-crossed, we hope to be able to add the photographs to the website in January 2010 (once the magazine is off-sale).

Regular visitors to the website will see we have made some small changes.  The gig guide now only details forthcoming gigs and shows in the current month plus the following two-months.  This change means we can cut-down on administration time spent updating the site with new advance bookings and making any changes to an existing booking.  Rest-assured, this new method will mean all bookings are still advertised for a minimum of three months in advance of any particular date.
