Mamma Mia - Here We Go Again

Published on 12 July 2018

It's been ten years since cinema goers across the land were dancing in the aisles when Mamma Mia! The Movie made the switch from the theatre stage to the big screen and now we're about to do it all again for the sequel!

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again gets it’s UK release on Friday 20/07/2018 and once again the likes of Piers Brosnan, Julie Walters and Amanda Seyfried will be bringing plenty of ABBA hits to the big screen. The much-anticipate movie made it's gala premiere in Stockholm yesterday (11/07/2018).

Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgard reprise their roles as Sophie's three fathers while Christine Baranski and Julie Walters return as Donna's good friends Tanya and Rosie. Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again looks back on the younger years of Donna as her daughter Sophie finds out she is pregnant.

Cast members were joined by ABBA's Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson at the Grand Hotel in Stockholm to reveal details about the follow-up film, which serves as both a sequel and a prequel to the 2008 original.

Classics like Dancing Queen, Waterloo, Super Trouper and Mamma Mia (of course) will return alongside lesser known tracks like When I Kissed The Teacher (from ABBA’s 1976 Arrival album). It is rumoured  ABBA's I've Been Waiting For You and My Love My Life, have also been included with updated lyrics to fit the storyline.  There’s even a rendition of Fernando from the global pop icon that is Cher.

Mamma Mia!– Here We Go Again in UK cinemas from Friday 20/07/2018.
